Call for Papers Deadline: Law and Economics - Chicago

The Midwest Law and Economics Association will hold its annual meeting Oct. 3-4, 2008, at Northwestern University School of Law. This year’s Meeting is sponsored by the Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth at Northwestern University School of Law.

To submit a presentation, please send an abstract or paper to searlecenter[at]law.northwestern.edu. At previous MLEA meetings, scholars have presented papers on a diverse assortment of legal topics such as securities regulation, tort law, family law, environmental law, and constitutional law. The deadline for submission will be July 15th, 2008. Further reminders will be sent as the date approaches. A conference schedule will be posted on August 15, 2008 as well as RSVP information for the conference meals.

This year’s Meeting is organized by Max Schanzenbach and Henry N. Butler, Executive Director of the Searle Center.

Please call the Allerton Hotel reservations department at (312) 440-1500 or (877) 701-8111. To receive the contracted rate ($148/night), the attendees should identify the group as NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW.

All reservations need to be made by September 02, 2008. After this date the remainder of guest room block will be released. The Allerton will honor additional reservation requests on a space and rate availability basis
