Islamic Thought – Bangi, Malaysia

The Second International Seminar on Islamic Thought (ISoIT2 2009) will be held at the National University of Malaysia, Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia, Oct. 6-7, 2009. The call for papers deadline is Dec. 30, 2008.

It is a medium of discussion for all Muslims over the world the issues pertaining to the Muslim and Islam. It is a place where the Muslim scholars, researchers, academicians meet every five years to discuss the global issues related to Islam and non-Muslim counterparts. The Seminar will provide 3 Main Sessions for paper presentations by reputable scholars from renowned institutions and 16 Parallel sessions, comprising papers on different topics crossing through various academic disciplines and intellectual fields. In addition to the theoretical and practical disciplinary thrust reflected in Islamic-oriented studies, ranging from Education, Politics, Social Sciences, Economic, Banking and Financing, Muslim Unity, Environmental Protection, Administration, Management, Legal Studies, Philosophy, Contemporary Islamic Thought, etc. The Seminar deliberations will be conducted in Arabic, English and Malay. Simultaneous translation will be provided for participants if needed.
