Europe – a Continent of Immigration? – Berlin

The European Law Journal presents the International Workshop for Young Scholars (WISH) Nov. 14-15, 2008. The call for papers deadline is June 30, 2008. This year’s theme is Europe – a Continent of Immigration? Legal Challenges in the Construction of the European Migration Policy.

Each autumn the European Law Journal organises the International Workshop for Young Scholars (WISH) which invites promising young researchers to present their best research work in a professional academic setting. This year’s seventh WISH will be held at Humboldt-University on the topic of„Europe – a Continent of Immigration? Legal Challenges in the Construction of the European Migration Policy.”

In order to reach the most promising young researchers, we depend upon the support of senior academics to disseminate the Call for Papers in their respective research networks. We would therefore be grateful, if you could forward the Call for Papers to young scholars from your university and possibly beyond. We encourage an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of migration law and invite young scholars from third states to add their voice to the debate. Due to technical problems we have extended the Call until 30 June 2008 and ask everyone to resubmit earlier proposals.

We appreciate your support and look forward to plentiful submissions!
