Cleveland-Marshall College of Law seeks proposals for presentations at Urban Agriculture: It’s Not an Oxymoron, Policies for Cultivating City Land and Increasing Access to Local Food, a symposium on law and policy issues connected to urban agriculture, land use, and the local food movement. The symposium will take place in Cleveland, Ohio on April 20, 2012. C|M|LAW invites academics, practitioners, policymakers, and others to submit presentations or scholarly papers on related topics.

The IFLA Law Libraries Section, in cooperation with Libraries & Research Services for Parliaments, Government Information & Official Publications, and Government Libraries, is seeking proposals for papers to be presented at a two-hour program to be held at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Helsinki, Finland in August 2012. This is a Call for Papers to share experiences by featuring model countries and promoting best practices. Papers are welcome on how Ministry of Justices or other governmental institutions in European democracies have addressed the issue of free open access for official authenticated legal information.

The deadline to submit a proposal is February 27, 2012. Send proposals via email to: Claire M. Germain, germain[at]law.ufl.edu.  The conference will take place on August 11-17, 2012.
