The University of Washington School of Law and the Asian Law Center are present Festschrift Conference in Honor of Prof. John O. Haley, Law in Japan and its Role in Asia: Between East and West. In fitting with Prof. Haley’s career, the conference takes place on both sides of the Pacific Rim. Today, Oct. 19, 2012, UW Law hosts an event in Seattle (see agenda here). Waseda University Faculty of Law and Waseda Univeristy, Research Center for the Legal System of Intellectual Property (RCLIP) host an event in Tokyo, Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 (see agenda here). Both events discuss the role of courts in Japan.
