Law, Justice, and the Security Gap—London, UK

The London School of Economics & Political Science presents the LSE ‘Security in Transition’ International Conference, Law, Justice, and the Security Gap, June 21, 2014.

This conference will examine the relationship of law, justice, and in/security at the current juncture by focusing on two broad themes: a) Is the international legal regime adapting to address the ‘security gap’ and how effectively? b) What is the role of novel legal instruments, such as international justice and transitional justice, in relation to the ‘security gap’?

Abstracts are due by Jan. 6, 2014. The conference is organized by ‘Security in Transition’ (SIT), a 5-year-research programme at the London School of Economics (LSE), funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The principle grant holder is Professor Mary Kaldor.
