Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, in conjunction with the Nova Law Review, and NSU Sports and Entertainment Law Society will organize the 2015 annual Nova Law Symposium, New Media and Old Metaphors, February 12-13, 2015. The call for papers deadline was Oct. 15, 2014.
The focus of the conference is to provide an interdisciplinary review of issues involving business and industry responses to the transformative impact of new media on traditional entertainment and media, including journalism, sports, film, broadcast, gaming, music, and similar areas.
Potential topics include: First Amendment and Defamation; Evolving Technologies; Copyright at the Crossroads; Artists, Creators, Athletes and Actors.
