Call for Papers: “Integration and Interconnectedness in Global Finance” Annual Conference of the Journal of Financial Regulation Hong Kong | 24-25 June 2016

Journal of Financial Regulation

The editors of the Journal of Financial Regulation invite submissions for the Journal’s 2016 annual conference.

Conference Overview
One of the most striking trends within the global financial system over the past several decades has been the increasing degree of integration and interconnectedness. This trend has been driven by the promise of new markets, greater international risk sharing, lower macroeconomic volatility, and – perhaps most importantly – higher economic growth. Yet as painfully demonstrated by the global financial crisis of 2008, the subsequent European debt crisis, and the global volatility triggered most recently by developments in emerging markets and China, the theoretical promise of regional and global integration brings with it a number of potentially significant perils. These perils present important problems for policymakers, scholars, and practitioners in the field of financial regulation.

Submission Process
Papers, which should be submitted in English, should be submitted via email to Geneviève Helleringer at assistanthelleringer@gmail.com. The subject line of the email should state “JFR Conference Submission”. To facilitate blind review, names and other identifying information should be redacted from the submitted paper (but clearly identified in the message). Authors who wish to have their conference submission considered for publication in the Journal of Financial Regulation should also submit their paper via ScholarOne. Manuscript preparation instructions, instructions to authors and a link to ScholarOne can all be found by visiting the JFR’s homepage and hovering over “Submit”.

Deadline for submission of papers for the conference is 1 March 2016. Authors will be notified regarding whether their paper has been accepted for presentation at the conference by 30 April 2016.
