Seattle University School of Law

The Seattle Journal for Social Justice and the Seattle University Law Review present Poverty Law: Academic Activism Feb. 19-20, 2016.

The Poverty Law Conference will focus on the connection between academics and activism, broadly understood. This symposium will explore how members of various communities directly engage with activists to effect social, legal, and policy changes; how scholarship can help improve the lives of the poor; how to educate the next generation of poverty warriors; and most importantly, to ensure that the voices of traditionally marginalized people are heard.
