What’s the Big Deal with Big Data? – Brooklyn, NY

Brooklyn Law School Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship

Brooklyn Law School is holding a CUBE Panel Discussion titled What’s the Big Deal with Big Data? on October 19, 2016.

Legal, business, and data science experts will explore the legal and professional implications of a world where data are ubiquitous, mutable, and eternal. Do the benefits of data collection and usage outweigh the privacy intrusions? Does the Blockchain, or other emerging technologies, somehow save us and our data from control by (un)trusted intermediaries while advancing the value of a data-driven world? How do lawyers wrestle with these questions in a real-world context?
