CFP: The New Activists – Corporate Activism

Columbia Business Law Review (CBLR)

The Columbia Business Law Review is pleased to announce its 2017 survey topic: “The New Activists.”

With the rise of hedge fund activist investors and the ever increasing number of activist shareholder campaigns, CBLR is soliciting articles that explore recent trends and developments in corporate activism and defense. In addition, articles in this issue could explore the evolution of distressed investing and its impact on troubled firms. The rise of these “New Activists” has the potential to reshape corporate governance law and norms and our understanding of the corporation for decades to come. CBLR encourages all authors to submit articles relating to board governance, shareholder activism, distressed investing, or other topics pertaining to “the New Activists” to submissions.cblr@gmail.com.
