CFP: Law & Violence in Literary or Legal Texts

The Modern Language Association’s Law and the Humanities Forum is sponsoring a guaranteed session on “Literature, Law, and Violence” at next year’s MLA convention in Chicago, Jan. 3-6, 2019. Please submit papers examining the relationship between law and violence in literary and legal texts, from any period and any region in the world. State violence, mob violence, intimate violence, and more. Send a 250-500 word abstract and brief CV to Melissa J. Ganz (melissa.ganz@marquette.edu) by March 13, 2018.
