Grants for Women in Crime Fiction Research

Sisters in Crime will award researchers grants of up to $500 for the purchase of books to support research projects that contribute to our understanding of the role of women or underrepresented groups in the crime fiction genre. This may include but is not limited to research on women mystery writers, on the position of women writers in the crime fiction marketplace, or on gender, race, or ethnicity as an aspect of crime fiction.

Grant recipients must provide copies of receipts of purchases and provide a summary of research progress that will be shared publicly and non-exclusively through the organization’s website. Grant proposals must be received by April 1, 2019.

More information is available on the website.
