Conf.: From Microbes to Multinationals – Toronto, ON

The University of Toronto, Faculty of Law will host its 4th annual national conference on food law and policy in Canada, entitled From Microbes to Multinationals: The Many Scales of Food Law and Policy on November 7-9, 2019. This year, there will be over 25 panels, featuring some 80+ speakers on a wide range of pressing issues in food law and policy. Four keynote panels will address issues of scale in food system governance, from the impacts of corporate consolidation in global and Canadian food supply chains, to questions concerning the regulation of mid-sized Canadian food system actors, to the challenges faced by newcomer chefs and food entrepreneurs in Toronto.
