Call for Papers: Education Desegregation, Diversity, and Resegregation

The Cleveland State Law Review invites papers for a special symposium issue to be released in the fall, on topics related to desegregation, diversity, and resegregation with a focus on education. This special edition will be also presented as part of a live symposium to be held in October 10, 2014, co-produced between Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and the Education Law Association.

Eight papers will be accepted for publication. Each paper shall be between 6,000 and 8,000 words. The first draft of your submission will be reviewed by a committee of members of the Education Law Association then sent to the law review editors. The editorial board of the Law Review selects submissions from judges, professors, and other legal scholars for publication and works with the authors to refine the articles in preparation for publication. All submitted papers will be thoroughly considered, though the Law Review has a preference for articles authored by scholars from the Cleveland legal community and this particular issue will also have a preference for members of ELA.

Deadline: A first draft of your submission shall be due by August 15, 2014. All submissions should include a cover letter and curriculum vitae, and conform to the 19th edition of the Bluebook. Electronic submissions are preferred. Please send your inquiries and your submissions to ela[@]educationlaw.org. A final draft will be due on September 12, 2014. im
