		<description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://www.ifa.nl/Pages/default.aspx">International Fiscal Association</a> has issued a <a href="http://taxprof.typepad.com/files/ifa-1.pdf">Call for Papers</a> for the <a href="http://ifaboston2012.com/" target="_blank">2012 IFA USA Branch International Tax Symposium</a> on September 30-October 4, 2012 in Boston:</p>
<blockquote><p>Papers are welcome on any topic relating to taxation from international activities, applying any research methodology. Authors from anywhere in the world may apply. Submissions of papers related to the main subjects of the Congress are encouraged: <em>Enterprise Services </em>and <em>The Debt-Equity Conundrum</em>.</p></blockquote>
<p>June 1, 2012: Submit either a 300-word abstract or the full paper to all members of the committee, with “IFA USA Symposium” in the subject line.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>The<a href="http://areas.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/Accounting/TaxCenter/Pages/default.aspx"> University of North Carolina Tax Center</a> is organizing its sixteenth annual symposium and seeks submissions for the symposium. Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from the group&#8217;s discussion. The symposium will include six to seven papers. Travel and lodging expenses for presenters will be reimbursed up to $500.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://sydney.edu.au/business/research/journals/jctp">Journal of Chinese Tax and Policy</a> has issued a call for papers for its inaugural conference, which will be held on November 23-25, 2012 at <a href="http://www.sysu.edu.cn/en/">Sun Yat-Sen University</a> .  The theme of the conference will be <em>Tax Policy in China: A multilateral dialogue – Modernizing China’s Tax Laws for a Diverse Economy</em>. The conference organizers are soliciting papers dealing with the conference theme and/or its implications.  All papers accepted for the conference may be selected for publication in the Journal of Chinese Tax and Policy.</p>
<p>Abstract submissions of 300 words (in English) are due April 25, 2012. Subsequent deadlines apply if you need help arranging for Chinese translation.</p>
